Vojtěch works at KOUBÍKOVÁ LEGAL as a lawyer. He graduated from Charles University with a Master’s degree in Law and Jurisprudence. Within the International Law specialization, he focused on aspects of international private law.
Until 2020, he worked at the faculty as an auxiliary scientific assistant in the Department of International Law and participated in organizing international conferences.
During his law studies, Vojtěch spent a year in a study exchange program (Erasmus+) at the Université de Bordeaux, where he specialized in finding common aspects of the French and Czech legal systems. He also took part in numerous internships in Spain.
Vojtěch also completed two prestigious traineeships at institutions of the European Union. At the European Parliament in Brussels, he provided legal support to the unit responsible for matters relating to the ethical conduct of Members of the European Parliament. He subsequently joined the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg, where he worked in the Corporate and Litigation Division, focusing on proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union.
Since February 2021, he has been working at KOUBÍKOVÁ LEGAL, first as a legal assistant and then, after graduation, as a lawyer focusing mostly on cross-border cases.
“I chose law because it is essential to know the rules of a game if you want to find a creative solution to any problem. Lawyers are known for always imagining the worst scenario. I do not think we are being sceptical. We are compelled to envision all the possibilities in order to choose the one leading safely towards our goal.”
Vojtěch speaks Czech, English, French, and Spanish.
